Shirley Payne opened SophieJoe's Emporium for business for the first time on December 10, 2001. She named the shop after her mother and father, Sophie and Joe. At that time it was a small shop with 5-10 dealers. The popularity of Shirley's creation sky-rocketed and SophieJoe's currently houses over 50 dealers at any given time and we have 5000 square feet of space filled with an incredible selection of wonderful things. Our management team consists of: Shirley, Corrine, Cathy, Susan, Candi & Kate. We are staffed by our dedicated dealers!
SophieJoe's plays an important role in our community as we participate in charity events such as The Festival of Trees at holiday time. Shirley won an award from The City of St. Paul for her beautiful flowers gracing the storefront. We also have won a "Best of the Best" award from Mpls/St. Paul Magazine. |
